Once the appointment is made, I will send you an Injury History PDF which I encourage you to write everything you can remember that hurt or made your body feel bad even if you don't think it has anything to do with the problem that brought you to me. Small things in delicate places and of course big things in small places are very important. All backgrounds on falls or broken bones that you can give me will be helpful. Even a sprained ankle when you were e.g. 7 years old or a broken leg bone (tibia) when you were 2 years old.
The bulk of this initial session is taken up with assessments to create an awareness of your baseline. Static resting posture, joint motion movements, gait analysis, hands-on foot joint assessment and a cohesive thought-process that will generate the most effective movements which effect structural changes and/or your nervous system.
An individualized home program reflecting your movement analysis will be designed for you to practice daily. I invite you to embark on this 'unravelling journey' taking control of your self-care program.
We will use your phone to film the movement drills with your AiM wedges. Slow and steady, and focus on the intention of the movement, each drill only takes a few minutes. Little and often works better and faster with the brain and body uniting together to create change.
We will use AiM wedge(s) which is part of the session. A package of wedges(3) is $30+tax. You might need an additional wedge for $10+tax. For Online sessions, shipping will be calculated with your postal code in the UPS website and we’ll email you the total.
Your foot posture will stay the same unless it has something to move against. The floor gives this opportunity but only reinforces the habitual movements you already have. So we use the AiM wedges to help give the feet a stimulus to promote movement of the 33 joints in each foot and the lengthening of the muscles and fascia. Using the wedges will maximize your body’s opportunity for better movement.

I often get asked an understandably common question "how many times will I need to come back?" which is an impossible question to answer as I haven't met you yet. What I can say with total transparency is that you and I will both know by the end of the first session if another session is appropriate. Most clients return for a follow-up in 1 week for about 3 weeks. With each follow-up and unraveling the problem and creating movement solutions, we can increase the week to two and start giving you and your body time to process the changes and see how your body reacts to its new centre. My sessions with you are finite. You and I will know when we are close to completing your journey with me.
